As part of the Transparency Code legislation, the Council is now required to publish papers that will be discussed at Council meetings.

Part of the meeting was given over to Sue Falch-Lovesey, who updated everyone on the progress of the Vattenfall off-shore wind farm application – Vanguard. The interactive map can be found on the dedicated Vattenfall page of this website, and more information will be posted there as it arrives.

The parish council now meets on the 3rd Wednesday each month – except for August, and occasionally December, in the Jubilee Hall, Banningham.
The council year starts in May, with the Annual Parish council Meeting, where the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and representatives to Committees are elected and appointed for the next year.

The Council has received two planning applications with a response date ahead of the next ordinary parish council meeting.
When this happens, the Council meets as a Planning Committee – which it will do on Wednesday 7 March 2018 in the Jubilee Hall at 7.30p.m.
In line with the electronic approach to planning applications (with the exception of major developments), paper copies are not sent out – but you are able to look at the applications and the accompanying documents on the District council website.

There will be an Extraordinary Meeting of the Parish Council on Wednesday 6 December 2017, the main item to re-consider the Vattenfall/Vanguard project consultation document in the light of new information.

Starting from September 2017, the Parish Council will meet on the 3rd Wednesday each month, still in the Jubilee Hall, and at either 8p.m or 7.30p.m, depending on the time of the year.
The Council has made this change to accommodate a regular booking for the hall on a Tuesday evening.
May be this will be a better time for people – and the Council will be able to fill the current vacancies!!
The annual audit of the Parish Council includes the opportunity for electors to inspect the accounts over a given period. For the year ended 31st March 2017 this period is between 26 June and 4 August 2017. The accounts are available for inspection by appointment with the Clerk, and all details are on the Notice of Electors Rights which is also posted on Parish Council noticeboards.
As part of the Annual Audit process you can also look at the Annual Return, but please note that this is unaudited.
